Magna Codex
The great book of all your quests
You know that planner you buy full of hope and then leave lying around in a drawer after two weeks?
It's not that one!
The Magna Codex is like a role-playing game mixed with a planning tool. A bridge between your scattered creative brain and the "you" that wants to move forward without going (too) crazy. Where your legend in the making is written, one week at a time.
No more mental overload
Planning doesn't have to mean suffocating. It means taking 2 minutes to choose your priorities, stopping running around like a headless chicken always in "emergency" mode and ending the day burnt out with the feeling of having "done nothing" (yet having forgotten some things!).
Here, you will:
- visualize your schedule and things to do in one go
- Prioritize without feeling guilty (plans are made to be changed!)
- celebrate your small victories
- and even earn points (you know, like in a real game!)
Want a bonus? You're going to love using it. Like, really love it.
What's in it?
- 12 months with a monthly view so you don't lose track
- 52 weeks on 2 pages, with a design that changes every month (goodbye monotony)
- Simple but powerful boxes :
- Priorities (max 3 — not an infinite dropdown list)
- Intention of the week (because “objective” felt a bit too serious)
- Victory (from “I didn’t lose my keys” to “I won the marathon” and everything in between)
- Future adventures (aka: your official brain dump)
- Notes (we always have some, right?)
- An adventure point system to create according to your own feeling (and you're allowed to cheat, there's no one to watch you!)
- "Pro stuff", weird news stories, and punchy quotes that will make you say: "Yeah, that's pretty much me!"
💌 The little extra that makes all the difference
Choose your univeeeeeeeeeerse! *imagine the echo... echoing... ing...
To really get you involved in the action, you'll have the choice of the adventure that excites you the most from among several themes.
This will determine the vocabulary used (e.g. Priorities = Missions/Quests/Files, etc.) to adapt everything in line with the chosen universe.
That will also determine the cover. Like, everything will fit!
And the cherry on top:
Each month, you will receive by mail (yes, the REAL mail!):
- A letter or postcard from a character who lives in this universe
- A mini puzzle or mission to solve to help them in their quest
It's like having a friend who lives in that universe and who writes to you from time to time to tell you what is happening in their life, their adventures and travels since you weren't there.
And as a good friend, you'll be sure to help them when they gets into trouble with an intricate coded message or a magic formula lost for millennia?
Two levels, two vibes
- Adult-ish level : for big kids who like to gamify their everyday lives and want to win against their draining mental load
- Pre-adult-ish level (8 to 13 years old): because they too need a game plan to help them with their gym clothes chaos and forgotten lunches (the horror, the horror!)
The difference? The instructions are simpler and the vocabulary is more appropriate for the pre-teen level, and I've added things to keep track of the schedule and school grades. And no swear words, I swear!
📦 Paper format and why
Paper (yes, real paper! To touch, to stroke, to color, to sniff, to... Okay, I'll stop!) with spiral or disc binding.
You're more likely to remember what you wrote by hand than what you typed on a keyboard, and if it's a goal, you're 42% more likely to achieve it than if you keep it in your head (according to Dr. Gail Matthews).
I know that 42% isn't exactly a passing grade for an exam, but between that and starting from scratch with the same effort… you choose!
And why should you jump in there?
- Because you and your brain deserve better than a beige planner
- Because structure rhymes with pleasure (not as well in French though!)
- Because it doesn't have to be boring to be effective
- Because you want to be organized in your own way, without forcing yourself to fit into an outdated mold
So :
You'll laugh, plan, procrastinate a little, and then come back. Yes, you'll be back...!
Because you'll (finally!) have a tool that's adapted to how you work.
